Cooperating in Development and Manufacturing, and Contributing to Improving Marketability and Lightweighting on Large Rocket Cowl and Rear Cowl Made of Integrally Molded FRP
The rocket cowl and rear cowl made of integrally molded FRP, of the new road sports model HAWK 11 released by Honda Motor Co., Ltd., in September 2022 use the design/analysis technology and the infusion molding (VaRTM: Vacuum-assisted Resin Transfer Molding), a low-cost mass production technology that enables the molding of large resin parts, which are possessed by our company and SCT Co., Ltd. This method was used to manufacture parts with shapes that are difficult to reproduce and parts that are difficult to integrate using normal resin molding. In addition, the integration has reduced the number of mold jigs and tools required and made the product lighter, contributing to improvement in marketability and cost reduction.
